The rink serves as a practice spot for young figure skating hopefuls, where lessons are available through the rink, and pick-up hockey players perfecting their attack.

Visitors should always call and check public session times; they change daily. Otherwise, visitors may stop by during junior hockey league practice. On weekends the crowd is mostly young teens thawing out their mating moves while the snack bar offers munchies like nachos and soft drinks.
