Fresno >Luigis Italian Restaurant
Fantastic Spot - Great for Lunch. I have consistently had a different experience with this restaurant - especially at lunch. Their service is geared to dining enjoyment and linens at lunch. I happened on this place one day when I was looking to grab a bite. True, that is not what happened -- instead I had a lunch to remember. Each course is presented with fanfare and everything is made to order. Despite the small, intimate size- the menu is extensive. If you are in a hurry - let them know or go to the Olive Garden or Spaghetti Factory or one of those other Denny's of Italian food. (There is a Me n Eds in the same shopping center.) Luigi's food and presentation is to be savored - not gulped. I love their Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo (if only it wasn't fattening)! The prices (especially at lunch) are extremely reasonable. You will definitely have a "doggie bag" if you want it to enjoy later. I've only had room for dessert once - a
Best Italian Restaurant in Fresno I give it 10 +. In spite of its location , this restaurant surprised me with its food. It is the best Italian food I have ever tasted. The appetizers were oustanding ( Misto de Funghi and bruschetta). The salmon that my companion had was prepared and cooked perfectly, I had the new York gorgonzola it was also perfect. The pasta was perfectly al dente and veggies were sauteed beautifuly. Oh dear, the tiramisu was to die for. Now, it may seem a little more expensive than a regular restaurant, but it is well worth it. Specially for a romantic evening get away, is perfect. Try it and you'll see.
