Food and service not so good.
This is the second time for me at this establishment. I am sorry to say that it was very sub-par.
The mens restroom was really dirty, and smelled bad. The rice was cooked, but not all the way through (it needs to pre-soak before it is cooked).
I think this place lives off of the atmosphere in order to sell dinners, as the food is not very good. Personally I'll not be coming back ever. I will be going to one of the other higher end Japanese restaurants from now on, as Sushi N Pop fell short on quality and cleanliness.
VILE, VULGAR, DISGUSTING--NEVER AGAIN!!!. My friend and I went in at 5 pm for an early dinner and after being served my sushi roll I glanced up from my table only to take note of the sushi chef behind the sushi bar furiously hollowing out the inside of his nose with sleeve of his restaurant issued red t-shirt. Then, in plain view, he began PICKING HIS NOSE. Granted there were only 2 tables in the restaurant BUT COME ON! Just because SUSHI N POP hangs britney spears and madonna posters and blasts rap songs by "Outkast" does NOT make is ok to publicly chase a bat in the cave as if it were the thing to do. I WAS HORRIFIED. My boyfriend who was dining with me is JAPANESE and he mentioned that this restaurant is an extremely low-rate rape of his culture. It was horrifying. ONLY DINE HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO CATCH H1N1 VIRUS. Thank You.
fresh fish, decent service. good fresh sushi, among my favorite in town. prices could be a little better, considering they are located near a college- but overall good.
Best Sushi in Town. While I'm not the biggest fan of the original rolls Sushi 'n' Pop features, I am always impressed by their generous servings of amazing very fresh fish.
Surprisingly Good. The decor of Sushi and Pop is unique but the food is FANTASTIC..not a typical sushi place like in SF but the food has great flavor, beautiful presentation and the combination of items that they put together is really interesting and tasty! If you go on a weekend night be prepared to wait between 45 minutes to an hour.
