Saved my son. I thank god for Dr. Ziyar! My son had severe depression. Dr. Ziyar prescribed medication, he is doing great now! He is very nice and gives my son lots of encouragement and advice. He actually cares, a lot of doctors don't. Like I said, he saved my son's life, and I will forever be grateful.

Highly Recommended!!. I had suffered a nervous collapse from overworking myself and that was combined with insomnia. In short, I was a wreck before i came to see Dr. Ziyar. His diagnosis and medication expertise brought me back to normality. He was so knowledgeable and professional that I wont consider any other psychiatrist! His years of experience make a patient know that they are in good hands. Anyone who wants "real" help should consider Dr. Ziyar. He is without question in the top of his field in Fresno. The negative review below seems like sour grapes to me, bringing up what kind of car he drives or however long his vacations seem like personal reasons not to like him. If you really want help you need to speak up and talk to your psychiatrist and not expect him to ASSUME he just knows whats wrong with you!

Among the worst in Fresno. Throughout my life I have seen many psychiatrists - Dr. Ziyar was among the most ineffectual. He runs patients through there like cattle - about four an hour, funding his expensive Porsche and lengthy vacations. I once sat across from him, sobbing, 30 pounds underweight and in the most critical depression of my life, and talking of suicide.....his statement to me was "but you are doing fine!" I stopped and said, "Are you LISTENING to me? Do you SEE me?" His demeanor can be quite friendly but he reminds me quite a bit of Mr. Magoo, rustling through his papers each time as if he had no idea who I was or why I was there.

Best Psychiatrist in Fresno!. Ive been suffering from depression for awhile now and been to many therapists and psychiatrists but none of them have helped. I was referred to Dr. Ziyar and he is by far the best doctor i have ever been to and he was genuinely interested in helping me overcome my depression. My appointment was right on time and didn't get hassled at all. I would recompensed Dr.Ziyar to anyone suffering from depression!

Very Helpful. After reading the reviews on here i was quite nervous since i was expecting someone quite different from who i saw. Dr. Ziyar took the time to listen to me whereas I have been to Psychiatrists before and they try to blame things on other people in my life. Dr. Ziyar is straight to the point and i really appreciate that. Don't listen to some of these negative reviews on here as they seem to have some personally vendetta against him. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone trying to deal with any hardships in their life.

Horrible uncompassionate quack. I have unfortunately had the dishonor of having this man as a doctor at Community Behavioral Health Center. I will not even begin to say what I feel about this doctor, because it involves foul language. Just know this, he is cold, he is cruel, he is rude, he is uncaring, and he is concerned with one thing, money. This scumbag even got in trouble a little while ago being negligient with a patient. Dr. Ziyar, is by far the last person I would EVER reccommend to someone who is suffering with mental illness. If I could use a negative star rating, I would have.
