Mexican fast-food chain serves up authentic citrus-marinated chicken and a variety of burritos and pollo bowls..
In Short
This restaurant's first roadside chicken stand opened up in Guasave, Mexico in 1975. A family-inspired recipe of chicken marinated in herbs, spices and citrus juices was an overnight success and the Mexican chain opened its first American location in Los Angeles in 1980. Ever since, customers have been devouring the house specialty--zesty flame-grilled chicken served with tortillas and fresh salsa. Other menu options include pollo bowls (rice and chicken), salads and quesadillas.

Very Good Food.
This was my first time visiting El Pollo Loco. I will be back again. The staff was wonderful and the food was exceptional. You get alot of food, that is fresh, and tasty. The salsa bar is great. I tried the four different kind they had but the avacado salsa was a nice twist. There is plenty of parking and you feel satisfied and very full after your meal. The churros are wonderful as well. My husband had the grilled chicken meal, it was great. A nice alternative to fried chicken! Perfectly seasoned as well.
