Reservations? Does it mean something differnt in Brazil?. "Now on the food i'd give this place a 3 to 4, don't get me wrong its good, but i've had better, especially in the area of choice, i.e. Espetus, SF awesome. I've been there before and the service was nice and the food decent, so therefore for my friend's birthday celebration we all thought Samba's would be a great choice. Saturday comes around, I had just driven 4 hours to Fresno from the Bay the day prior just to attend the event. Reservations at 7pm so we arrived at 6:50, sat down and waited.

7:10 (20min later) drink orders, 7:30 waitress returns to take drink orders, but stop at me and walks away, even as i yell "can i please order drinks too?" it took another 10min and asking 2 others on the wait staff to get my order. please be in mind that it is 7:40 now, and one of the waiters notice that we haven't had food it, so they bring us out salad. after my salad around 7:50 i go outside for a cigarette, where i meet another party outside where i discover that they've also had reservations since 7 and haven't had any food yet. 8:10, nothing, no food and to make a long story short we a party of 11 and another party of about 10 also walked out at the same time.

yes I know it was busy but we had RESERVATIONS. which at last i checked means that you are reserving a spot at a particular time at a particular establishment, and that establishment and you BOTH are in agreement what those terms of time and place and number of attendees are. So therefore if you cannot handle those terms then please by all means deny the reservation or deny entry of those to your establishment that do not have oh i dont know let's say a reservation!!!!.

How in the world do you let 20+ people with reservations walk out of your restaurant??? my family have owned and operated restaurants for over 10 years, and we now have 4 in the Fresno area. I know that if anyone on my staff just let 20+ people walk out, somebody is going home for good.

A fun and unique dining experience. I've had so much fun every time I go to Samba's! It is a great place to go if you are trying to impress someone. The staff is friendly and the food is great. The Brazilian style service was a first experience for me and I had a blast.
