I recently had a motor go out in my pool and called J&S to come look at it as a second opinion. The first company told me I would have to upgrade my pump to replace it. When J&S came out they informed me I had an option to upgrade but if not they could still repair the problem. I was very happy with the result and the timely matter my pool was fixed. The office staff and Technicians are very helpful and nice. I would recommend J&S to any pool owner. They are now doing my service and my pool has never looked so good.
Shady business practices!

J&S Pools has some very shady ways of doing business. I needed 600 feet XHHW 10 gauge solid copper wiring to replace original wiring that had shorted. They used existing underground conduit. All they did was pull wire and connect. When I asked the technician for a cost, he said, “The office will bill you.” The bill came to $600. Initially they did not itemize the charge, but did so after I wrote them. They charged .50 per foot; two $50 trip charges (approximately 35 minutes one way); and $125 per hour for a tech who is NOT a licensed electrician, accompanied by an assistant to help pull wire. When asked to name their wiring distributor so I could verify the high cost of wire, they refused. I now discover that other electricians charge $85 per hour. When I said their rate was excessive considering the tech was not a certified electrician they claimed they called others who do electrical work and the $125 per hour was about right. When I asked them to name who they called, they refused again. J&S Pools has some very unethical business procedures. I will never use them again.

This company does not provide ANY customer service. When they are questioned regarding their service, they are defensive, abrupt and I believe dishonest. I will never use this company, for anything, again

I am a homeowner in Clovis and I was referred by my neighbor who uses J & S Pools and said they are very knowledgable. I was having trouble with my filtration system and my salt system was reading an error. The technician came out and explained to me why I was having so many problems. He gave me a lot of good information. I learned more from there one visit than I have anywhere else. They were knowledgable and took the time to explain the problem. I would highly recommend this service company to anyone.

I am new to the area and recently purchased a house with a pool. Having no prior pool experience I called J&S to have a filter cleaning service. During the service, the technician was having trouble. He called in for additional help over his two way phone. The response from the office was "Are they a regular customer?" Luckily, the tech got the problem fixed on his own. Since I wasn't a "regular" customer, they had no desire to assist. Adding insult to injury, my filter was not sealed properly, air was leaking in, and they did not return my call to fix the problem. I finally called after not hearing from them and I was told they will get to it when they can. If I do require a pool service in the future I certainly would not consider this company.

- Cons: Poor customer relations.
