Sal's, as locals call it, has a casual atmosphere where shorts and t-shirts are perfectly acceptable.. The Scene:
Bobby Salazar's Taqueria is one of Fresno's most popular Mexican restaurants. There are several locations, but the one in the Tower District has the best atmosphere with a full-service bar and a colorful motif. Regardless of the location, the service is cafeteria-style. While self-service might not be everyone's idea of dining out, the great food and generous portions more than make up for a lack of table service. There are seven different kinds of meat to choose from when building your burrito, along with the requisite lettuce, tomatoes, Jack cheese, sour cream, rice, beans, and more. The guy behind the counter will make anything you want if they have the ingredients, so bring your imagination and an appetite.

If you order one thing:
Try the monster burrito, but remember to ask for a doggie bag.
