I've got 3 words for Mr. Happy. BEST BAND EVER!!!. I drove around, last Wednesday, thinking I might find something worth doing. It's three hours later, almost midnight, and I'm way past disgusted. Heard some Zeppelin. Went in to see wassup... used my cel... me and my buds stayed til the end. Zeppelin, ACDC, Tracy Chapman... Willie Nelson??? This band is as good, or better than I've ever heard. MR. HAPPY RULES!!!

A Fresno staple since the 1970s, Zapp's Park is one of the few bars to count on for live blues, rock and jazz.. The Scene:
Driving past an adult entertainment store, you might miss Zapp's Park if not for the couple of Harleys parked proudly in front. Though it's in a questionable area of the city, don't fear parking your car in the small parking lot or adjacent streets--many of the patrons walk outside for a cigarette break and frighten away potential thieves. Local bands like Liquor-ish and Bennett Clark perform weekly, while regional bands play on weekends for a nominal cover charge. The small bar reverberates with funk, blues or rock, all of which can be heard a block away. Expect to sit or stand near one of the musicians and maybe share a cigarette or two after the gig. The friendly bartender is more than happy to tell you who's who.
