Casual crustacean-inspired chain serves up diet-defying seafood dishes in a family-friendly environment.. In Short
Live lobsters wriggle in a tank inside this seafood emporium, where nautical-patterned booths and colorful, fish-shaped tables in the bar area add subdued touches of whimsy to the room's classy dark wood accents. The menu can be downright decadent, with starters of artichoke lobster dip, seafood fondue, and crab-stuffed mushrooms. Entrees feature lighter, grilled fare like mahi-mahi and North Atlantic sea scallops, along with signature lobster dishes, snow crab legs, and jumbo fried shrimp platters.

Food is fresh, no fishy smell. I have never detected ta fishy smell in Red Lobster. I am not a fish eater and can't handle fishy odors. They do have about three chicken dishes. I like the cajun chicken alfredo linguini best. I used to love their potatoe soup and salad ( leaving the shrimp off the salad), but all their soups have seafood now. They used to have a good chicken salad, but I have not tried the one they have now. It doesn't sound that good to me. My husband and son love about all the seafood and fish dishes they have tried. The food can be a little pricey, but always prepared well, looking and tasting very appetizing. They are famous for their cheese biscuits which they serve while you wait for your meal.

Though the restaraunt is large, there may be a wait at busy times like Friday or Saturday nights or Sunday afternoons. They do not take reservations. Their service is usually very good.
