BEST BAR IN FRESNO CALIFORNIA. First of i have been to a lot of bars around Fresno and by far silver dollar is the most friendly and comfortable place I have been to in Fresno, and its too bad there wasn't one closer to my house because I spend more money on a taxi cab then my bar tab. I also find it hard to believe that they make their drinks so heavy, but its so easy to understand that they aim to please to keep their customers coming back.

great food. delicious food. if you're looking for traditional comfort food this is the place to go. they have fresh roast beef, turkey, mashed potatoes. plus, a full service bar!

Favorite Watering Hole!. This old-fashioned hofbrau consistently serves great food. A favorite for after-work beer, many compliments go out to the friendly staff--they even have their own calendar! Finding a spot to sit on weekends is difficult. No better spot to watch sports! Evening bar scene is hopping.

THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!. This place has some of the best food in Fresno! The hand carved meat sandwiches are the cornerstone of this place. Roast beef, ham, turkey, pastrami are all fresh roasted daily. It's a stand in line with your tray kind of place, but the service is exceptional. The waitresses are always very attentive in refilling drinks or taking drink orders. The guys behind the carving line are wizards with a knife. In 20+ years of going to this place, I have never once had a bad meal. And I usually hit this place once a week. Their bar is one of the most well stocked I have ever been to. You can get a quick meal here, or hang out for hours, watching sports on the big screens, sipping back ice cold beers. I highly recommend this to anyone who has not tried it.
