Quite overpriced. I've always wanted to go to Ovidio's and finally went on New Year's Eve 2008. The restaurant has an old-world Italian restaurant look and usually has quite a few cars in the parking lot. I decided to try Ovidio's because I had an Entertainment coupon which was not honored (due to holiday season). We were seated quickly and the waitress was friendly. The restaurant was well-lit and clean. The menu was relatively pricey and my food portion was small ($24.00 for 7 raviollis). My date had a combination of lasagne, spaghetti, one meatball and two raviollis. That plate was about $17.00. My plate, the seafood raviolli, was quite good but not worth the price. I certainly did not leave full. The other plate was hefty in quantity but rather tasteless. The food was served quickly as there were only two other tables being served, and wasn't "hot out of the oven" but not cold. So, after ordering the two plates with two waters and tip, the bill was just over $50.00 and was disappointing. I've heard the food used to be better but the restaurant may have changed hands. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Ovidio's. A better choice would be Diccico's restaurant even though the marinara sauce seems to be extremely salty.
awful service!!!. The first time I went to this restaurant the bar tender was waiting tables. He was very nice and the experience was a pleasant one. The next time I went we were served by the "real" waitress. She was unbelievably slow and rude as well. We asked that she split our check ( there were two of us ) and she was very irritated. She then had the nerve to add a tip to both checks!!!!! When I complained she told me her regulars preferred that she just tip herself so they wouldn't have to be bothered!!! I have never experienced anything like it in my life. I will not go back wich is a shame because the food was very good.
AVOID-Over rated. We had a group of six the service was bad, the food was very low in quality. The prices are high for such bad food. I will never return there. They need a new chef and new service.
Highly overrated. My 2 experiences at Ovidios included cold non-descript food, slow service (what were they doing while my food was getting cold?) and higher than average prices. Wouldn't go back.
Fabulous Food at Decent Price. The food can only be discribed as amazing. Old world Italian food with a more sophisticated twist. There is a bar attached to the restaurant which lets you end a perfect meal with a well mixed cocktail. Highly recommend this restaurant. One meal there an you will find yourself craving Ovidio's food all the time.
