Overrated. I haven't even eaten yet and already I find the disappointment stfling. The menu reads like a bloated, overpriced Taco Bell. Who ever paid four dollars for a side of beans?! Let's hope the food can deliver on these pre-recession prices. The service, however, has been exemplary so far.

Amazing!. We went on a Tuesday night and there was a Mariachi band of 6 or more. It was a great atmosphere and experience. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. The margaritas were also quite good.

El Toro Tambien is one of those restaurants that people swear by, and some locals won't go anywhere else for Mexican food.. The Scene:
There are 3 categories to choose from at El Toro Tambien: Large Dinners (3 items plus beans and rice), Specialty Dinners like Chile Relleno, Machaca, Chorizo, and Beef or Chicken Fajitas, or Small Dinners (2 items plus beans and rice). The Specialty Dinners all hover around the $10 mark, with Large Dinners around $7 and the Small Dinners about $6. Items to choose from include enchiladas, burritos, tacos, rellenos, tamales, and tostadas, but if those don't tempt you, patrons can also order from the a la carte menu. The bar is full-service and often filled with regulars, despite the lackluster ambiance; apparently the food makes up for it.

If you order one thing:
Try the Chile Verde or Chile Colorado Specialty Dinners.

Airline Miles To Boot !!. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, great food, and really good margaritas. The service was really good ... and one of the best things was that I have a program with American Airlines where I use credit cards at certain restaurants to receive airline miles -- and this is one of them.

Don't tell anybody!. Located in Northwest Fresno. Don't tell anybody but this little hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint serves great food. It's small bar is always packed with locals.
