Disappointing

Couldn't wait to have dinner at the restaurant. Saved it for a special occasion (my birthday). Was looking forward to a nice steak dinner. What a disappointment. First started out with the almond crusted prawns. They were overly fried, all you could taste was the crunchiness of the almond crust. Then the steak, asked for a medium well, what i got was a well done steak with no seasoning. The side of in season vegetables was mostly green pepper again with no seasoning. On the plus side, I enjoyed the bar and ambiance of the place. For the price it was a big disappointment. I would urge the owners to taste their dishes so they can see for themselves. Either that or get a new chef.

Disappointing, dishonest wine list

I've been to the Manhattan several times.

But they are now fudging their wine list. First ordered a Merryvale 2005 Reserve Cab. Server brings 2006 non-reserve. Tastes too young, turn it away. Order Jordan 2004 Cab; she bring 2006.

Finally bartender is called in and we order something that (in my opinion) is "OK".

I watched as the table next to us went through the same routine.

Hey Manhattan, fix your wine list and stop charging the price of a reserve for non-reserve. Seems like to place has financial problems to me. It's the same situation that La Rocca's went through prior to shutting.

Probably won't go back. I'll go to Parma or Max's instead. Don't like to be treated like an idiot when I'm paying this type of money.

Also had too few servers (2) to handle the place. Again, looks like a cost savings. No hot water in the bathroom either.

Very disappointing.

Awesome Steak

I took my wife there and was blown away at the decor. The staff was awesome and so was our ceasar salad. I had the new york new york steak and man i was expecting some thing small but expensive $25. When it came out it was huge and thick and so yummy especially i had it medium rare. All the juices was flowing all around my steak it was just perfect oh man it was awesome.

• Pros: the steak and bar
• Cons: man its expensive for food

try the coconut shrimp. they are to die for!! also the mandarin martinis are super yummy. great place for appetizers and drinks.

Classy & Romantic

This dark little hole-in-the-wall in Northwest Fresno may have the best service in town. The modern decor and full bar make this a favorite for locals and their families. Despite the outside appearance, you will be impressed.
