Best Chili Dogs (Red Hots) Ever!
by PurringOaks
No other chile can compare to theirs. They have done it to perfection. The owner and her daughter are fantistic. Good job.
- Pros: For me, 60 years of the best in hot dogs
- Cons: A few cobwebs

Over 50 ys! We've been going there abt 50 ys + is the 1st resturany I remember going to. My parents LOVE hot dogs family all born in Fresno relocated to OC Ca abt 40 yrs ago. I just looked this up + told my 80+ parents + I guarantee you they will be up there within 1 month when they go see my dads twin bro. They had NO idea it would still be there! Some things are just sacred!!!
Best Chili Dogs you will ever find
by m45murphy
I have been eating at Coney Island since I was about 4 years old. I remember when they were in a building that used to be a bar and it still had the brass foot rest on the bottom of the counter. They moved accross the street whaen the old building was being torn down and rebuilt and then they moved back into the new building. The food has always been excellent, especially the chili dogs. My familty used to go there at least once a week for dinner. As I grew I worked downtown and would go there several times a week for lunch. When I came back from overseas, it was the first place I had to go to get several chili dogs and fries. The food has always been great and it has always been family owned, except when it changed hands for a little while in about 1980. The new owner didn't know what he had and changed the chili. He soon went out of business and the original family came back. I was never so happy to see them back. I now take my son and my granddaughter to eat there. They love the place and rave about it to their friends. This place is small, they have been in business since abut 1922, but I would recommend it to anyone to try. Hell, when me and my date and another couple were trying to figure out where to go to dinner for the Junior/Senior prom, the ladies insisted on Coney Island. So, there we were in our tuxes and formals eating the best chili dogs (no cheese) for dinner
