Celebration is a wonderful place to be a part of! I have attended with my family for years. They have great things going on for all ages. Classes for kids and teenagers, groups for adults single and married. The leaders truly love people and want the very best for them. I am thankful for Celebration! I highly recommend Celebration. Check it out!
As you enter and start listening to
them talk about the tithe listen to how they make you feel bad if you cant afford to give. It breaks my heart that because of this very thing i have met many people that say when they dont have money they just dont go to church because they dont want to walk out feeling condemned! Read it for yourselves in Pauls scripture below! Obviously God goes to and fro searching the hearts of men and if all you have is a penny to give because of your situation and cannot afford to give God will take what you give out of the kindness of your heart and multiply it! He wants you blessed and as you are blessed and have more He wants your thanksgiving to Him and want to give more! But not under compulsion as they do here! Obviously the Church does need money to function but that is something that we should all do because we want to show our thankfulness to God for what He has done to us! As many here i also have attended this Church for over 4 years and until i got more into my Scriptures and testing the fruits of the Pastors i was deeply disturbed. Not because of me for i have given out of thankfulness for many years. But for the lost that dont have anything and just want to find God. How quickly they are turned off from this church because the feeling they make you get if you dont give! Talking about you wont be blessed if you dont give. Why would God send His One and Only Son Jesus to die on the cross to make you feel bad. God wants your heart in everything you do! Be careful little years of what you hear.
5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given. 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:5-8)
I've been attending this church and it's been a great place for me and my family. I've never felt closer to God than I do now. If you want a church who welcomes you as you are, introduces you to a loving God & surrounds you with love than this is one to check out. The staff here is great, they love God and teach us bible truth. Kids church is awesome, my kids love it!
A note to the wise... beware of Christians who just cannot stand for a pastor to be paid well. It's funny that we go to expensive restaurants, leave huge tips (20%) and never once think about what kind of home and car the waiters and restaurant owners drive and live in? Why is it that when it comes to attending church where all giving is completely voluntary... all of a sudden you want to know where the cash is going! The god of this world is money, and you can see it in the various posts here with bitter people who want to tell the pastor what he can drive and where he can live...etc. One of the most difficult and thankless jobs in the world is pastoring a church... and some of these posts are a testimony as to how thankless it is. I pastored a church myself for nearly 20 years and I grew so tired of this kind of criticism that I decided to join the work force and leave the pastoring to those who were tough enough to continue it. Guess what, I've made much more money doing meaningless things in the work force than I was ever paid for saving souls! Go figure!! Now I work for my cash... making more and living in an even bigger house and driving my dream BMW... and I don't have anyone complaining that I'm living lavishly off the church. I do my ministry free of charge and and happier than ever. A person with the skill and talents of someone like Pastor Randy Hand would make millions in the real world of business. He is being paid probably much less than he's worth in the business world. I know I was and when I defended myself, nobody believed it until I decided to show them. Those people are probably still complaining about their new pastor... it never stops with those who love money. To all you who attend Pastor Randy's church... give as unto the Lord and he will bless you for your giving. Don't listen to the bitter money lovers... they will always try to cast doubts while serving their money. Remember, giving is voluntary... don't give unless you want to. The Word doesn't say how much to give, it just promises that if you do, it will be "pressed down and shaken together, and given back to you!" Believe the Lord on giving and your life will be fabulously blessed! Don't bother with the nay-sayers... They are always around contributing nothing but bitterness. God bless you all abundantly! With all that said; I don't believe in a "prosperity" gospel at all... the point of the gospel only promises prosperity for your eternal soul. But God is good to givers and gives back... that's a promise... and it works... but the gospel is not about your financial prosperity... it's about your salvation and your place in the life to come. Keep your eye on the prize (that heavenly city)! Nathan Reynolds / Lathrop, CA, former pastor of Hayward Christian Life Center in Hayward, CA.
Okay, to start off with I myself had just experienced my first time with Celebration Church not very too long ago. I enjoyed it a lot and loved it. I know friends who goes to it and encourages me to go to it also, but I coincidentally came across this website with these good and bad reviews about it and now doesn't know which to believe. My first time there they had a huge gathering which was nice and fun.. Just being with so many other people who I know who are like myself and shares that same kind of connection with god. Now onto my thoughts, when I was at the church they had envelopes if you wanted to give money to the church donating towards new buildings or needy things for the church as they said you could. I was thinking yeah, this money is or could be going for good things or a good cause for things they need to fix up and provide such fun events like this for... BUT , since I am a newbie to actually attending church I just want to be very cautious with witch decision I choose to make regarding churches. I understand that every pastor needs a little funding to make money that's their job. Yet, I don't want to get "fraud." I don't want my money and my efforts going to a church pretty much going NO WHERE. Please, HELP me any advice or suggestions here?
BEWARE! Randy & Cheri Hand are not about Jesus, they're all about the All Mighty Dollar. They are modern day thieves reaching deep into the pockets of their congregation. Randy isolates himself, he has himself escorted in and out of the building.... why? Are you too elite to stop and actually get to know the person that is feeding your unending craving for money. People in your church are struggling financially and yet you keep hounding them for more and more money claiming that it is God's will for them to give. SHAME ON YOU! When is the last time you "died to self" and gave? Are you sure that God gave you that giant house on the hill, bought you numerous luxury cars, put you kids through school, kept you in name brand clothes, paid for lavish vacations, and various furnishings just to "bless" you? For what? What have you done for the body of Christ? The things that you've surrounded yourself with have come on the backs of people who are truly looking for Jesus. You are a wolf in sheep's clothing. You are a conterfiet. Reader, you may want to know how I can say these things about them, to which I will tell you; I attended Celebration for 6 years, I was there everytime the doors were open, I taught classes in the church, I've been in their home, I've dined at their table, I spent numerous hours with them in the past, and had my eyes opened by Jesus as to who they really are. Randy and Cheri, you really need to read the book, "A Shepard's Look at Psalm 23" by W. Phillip Keller. You may, Lord willing, get a picture of what a true pastor is.
I started attending Celebration Church in 2006 and since the first time I walked through the doors my life has never been the same. I was welcomed by the greatest volunteers and not just because I was new, but because this ministry is full of people who love God and are passionate about serving people. The leadership at Celebration is a staff who truly cares about people and desires to see them hit the mark God has for them. When I started going to Celebration I learned about the blessing that comes with tithing and giving, my finances are now better than ever! I'm so grateful to be under leaders who are bold enough to speak the whole truth of God's Word and not just a part of it. I would highly recommend this ministry to anyone who's looking for a church to attend! Since I've come to Celebration I've found freedom, my family has been restored and I'm now walking in the purpose God has for my life.
I have enjoyed going to Celebration. I started going in 2005 and have learned so much. Got enough courage to attend one of their classes and it really helped me understand the Bible & the heart of God more for my life. I joined a team of volunteers, and the leadership and people I was around was awesome & I am still a part of a team today! God used this church & it's people to bring health to my life spiritually & relationally. When I first walked in I was super skeptical because it wasn't what I was used to but I soon realized God is in this place & the hearts of the leaders are definately after His heart. I feel safe here and in the hands of their leadership. That peace assures me. If you are looking for a church, I recommend you try this one. Hear the message, get involved, and watch God do what He does best.
be aware. Please people be aware. My husband and I had a great marriage and money in savings before we started to attend Celebration Church. After two years attending the church, our marriage has been put through the ultimate test thanks to a freud and deception board members of this church put us through. We are in the middle of law suits with members of this church who Pastor Randy put on the stage times after times after service. These personnal friends of the Pastor were talking and teaching about financial prosperity. They defreuded us out of our hard earned money. They used the trust we had in this church to do that. We were approached to loan money to them for a short term.. After they defaulted on the loan they did not want to have anything to do with us anymore. Our money were gone and they basically told us to take a hike. The terrible thing is that Pastor and the board are activelly using these people in their financial dealings. Stepping a foot in to Celebration Chuch was the biggest curse happened to us. This is not what God and Christians are about.
