A dark, smoky interior welcomes visitors to this part-time karaoke bar and full-time speakeasy.. The Scene
Although California now has a smoke-free workplace law, it's not apparent at this dark and smoky location where patrons are encouraged to light up at the bar. The worn brick building has led a long life and outlived several coats of paint, with new carpets to cover the concrete floors.

The Booze
The beer selection is limited, but the quantities are impressive. Requests are welcomed, especially when it comes to working Jack Daniels, the house apothecary's weapon of choice, into the mix.

While You're There
The weekend's live entertainment is Keith & Connie, karaoke complete with wigs when singing a Sonny and Cher cover. Most clients sing country and western ballads to a cheery over-30 crowd that seems to know everyone by name. Those under 40 should expect to be carded and all patrons can anticipate plenty of Patsy Cline covers.
