Tips for AAA Two Bit Tow

Horrible Service. They treated me like crap and STOLE MY MONEY!!!

I just got a used lifted Chevy truck and the brake on one tire was locking up on me after a week. I didn’t want to drive it with the wheel locking up so I called the company Two-Bit Towing 559-435-1100 and spoke to Jennifer. I told her I needed my truck towed because the wheel was locking up and that I was at work but I left the cash and key behind the gas tank cover. She said no problem and that they would be there to take it to my location specified. I then got a call from the driver saying that they couldn’t tow my car because the wheel was locked up… as I had already told them. He said I would need to come from my work 30 minutes away to watch them while they did it because they didn’t want to be liable and that they were now going to charge me DOUBLE than agreed. I told him no and that this wasn’t acceptable; I would find someone else to do it.

I called Jennifer and she said “The driver is gone, and you now owe us a $35 dollar fee for driving there.” I told her there is no way I am going to pay that because all I agreed to do was pay $XX for towing my car and you could not complete the service. She was extremely rude and got very loud stating “Well who’s going to pay for my drivers’ time!” I told her I was not going to pay this and she told me the driver had already taken the money. There was nothing I could do. I told her I was not authorizing her to just take my money and this is stealing and she slammed the phone down on me. I was shocked the way she was treating me.

I called back about 30 minutes later and told Jennifer I was giving her another chance to do what’s right and take my cash back. She said “You’re going to have to talk to the manager on this.. I am out of the loop on what’s going on.” When I agreed to talk to the manager she then told me her manager was not available but that she would try to have him call me back later today. I told Jennifer you’re not out of the loop on this and you were the one that authorized the driver to take my money without even telling me anything upfront; I was notified after the driver had already left. Before I even got out 3 words she had hung up the phone on me AGAIN! So frustrating!

Worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life! This one is worth fighting in Small Claims for principle purposes.. They should never treat their customers like this! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!

Greatest experience involving being towed. Had my car towed, and the truck was right on time and the driver was very courtious and profesional. Had no problems, and will call them any time I am in need of a tow

Run away!. Obviously my experience with two bit tow was horrible. I requested a flat bed tow of my 1975 Chevy blazer. A huge regular tow truck arrived. I informed the tow truck driver that my truck was in the process of a rebuild and that the engine was new and the interior had many new parts so to be careful.

The important part

I told the driver that the right rear tire was low on air and it could be replaced with the spare if it was going to be a problem. It was a nice way of saying the tire looked like it needed more air or to be changed before moving it. He told me he was going to call a flatbed if it became a problem. Again I told him there was a spare and the tools to change the tire were in the truck. He laughed and said it would be just fine. I assumed he was going to take the side streets to avoid problems associated with a tire low on air. Eventually I left and caught up to the truck and my blazer on the freeway, going 70! Just as i came up behind the truck I noticed my tire was smoking. Then the whole thing started to shred. I couldn't stay but watched the tow truck pull over. I just couldn't believe this had happened and that the driver would do something so stupid. The driver had no idea I was a witness to what he did and on the phone started to say i jinxed him. He told me he had to change the tire because it must have been flat and then proceeded to tell me they would have to charge me. When I went to look at the tire I noticed he had thrown the blown tire and rim on top of many of my new parts including my new 200.00 dash cover and he damaged one of my waterproof 600 watt speakers.

They told me they had no intention of paying for the blown tire. The exact words from the owner was he knew how to deal with people like me. He then informed me of his good lawyer and hung up on me. I am taking him to small claims court obviously. The sad part is all I wanted was a tow. Now I am in the hole for over 400.00.

Again Run don't walk away from two bit tow!
