never again. Bad food, bad service, bad experience.Where are these good review's coming from?Are these folks HIGH?They must be from family and friends or the owners themselves.This place sucks!!! The pie's have been getting smaller with less chicken but the price's keep going up,big rip-off!!! The old asian waitress was extremley rude to us.We saw small children running around the cook's area,I believe that's against the law.We thought about notifying C.P.S or CAL O.S.H.A because we were concerned about safety of those children and there cooks.But the real deal breaker were the ROACHES !!! YES ROACHES!!! How this business remains open is a mystery. Not even Chef Gorden Rasmsey could save this hole .Calling this place a greasy spoon dive would be a complement they're not worthy of. Poor old grand marie's probably rolling over in her grave!!! My family and I will never go back to the chicken pie shop again.

Chicken Pie. There is no where on earth that you can find delicious chicken pies and a gravy that is to die for. Excellent food.

Grandmarie's Chicken Pie Shop is a combination deli/bakery/diner, where the signature item is, you guessed it, chicken pies!. The Scene:
Rows of miniature tarts are pulled out of the huge oven several times daily to satisfy the demand of hungry patrons at the Chicken Pie Shop, one of Fresno's longest-standing restaurants as both the food and the decorwill attest. Two-thirds of the restaurant is committed to the large dining area with rows of Sixties-style booths (lime and dark green vinyl), and three huge roosters adorn the walls, complementing the dull checkered tiling. Other than the famous chicken pies, guests can order from a variety of sandwiches and sides. Meat, sides, and desserts are packed in containers for those who wish to take their food with them, ideal for parties and picnics. Breakfast is served from 6am to 11:30am Sunday through Friday, until 1pm on Saturdays. Whether eating in or out, breakfast or lunch, be sure to pick up one of their delicious fruit pies to take with you when you leave!
