Excellent food.. Small little restaurant in Fresno. Staff was friendly. But definitely go here for the food. I was with 4 other people. We each ordered something different on the menu and everything was excellent. I tell everybody to stop when they are in Fresno. I live in San Francisco.

Pure Bliss. Echo is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. I have zero complaints. I try to go there every time I visit Fresno.

I am born again. The food! Oh the food! I started with the New England Maine lobster roll. Every bite orgasmic. To drink: the Candied-Ginger Cooler. This is what I imagine drinking in heaven. I couldn't stop. I had to have the Albacore Tuna confit with olive tapenade with garden lettuces and a Pineapple Jalapeno Soda. Nirvana! And for dessert: Bittersweet Chocolate Cake with Valrhona chocolate ganache and crème fraiche ice cream. Oh, mother make it stop! Even the coffee was an experience. Everything was thoroughly enjoyable. Every little detail right down to the silverware, glasses, and plates is a knockout. Human beings were not meant to live this well, and yet I have. Now I can meet my maker, point my finger between his eyes, and say, "You're not God!" "Tim Woods is!" I was so happy I got to say hello to Tim and thank him personally. I am born again!

Food as Art. While Fresno does have its share of museums and symphonys, the greatest art anywhere in the Central Valley is practiced at Echo by Tim Woods. Drawing on the ultra-fresh foods that only the greatest agricultural region in the world can provide, along with technique and attention to detail exceeded only by the very best restaurants in the world, Echo provides a sensory experience that will change your understanding of what food can be. It is one of the best restaurants in the United States, and at Fresno prices is probably the best value for foodies in the country.

No one should leave without trying the bread pudding, which is far beyond what anyone who has not had it would imagine bread pudding to be.

The only negative is that their wine list is ecelectic, and not particularly great.

Foodies Rejoice!. Echo is one of the finest restaurants on the West Coast. Period. Tim Woods is a fabulous chef, but maybe an even better food buyer. Echo's fish is never out of the water more than 4 hours before it reaches your plate and their beef and pork dishes are among the best I have had anywhere. The wine list is sparse (even by Fresno standards) but the food more than makes up for it.
