Relaxing and Fun. The food is great, the drinks are strong and the atmosphere is great, especially on weekends. The only drawback is that sometimes it takes forever to get a drink on the patio. I have waited more than 30 minutes on a couple occasions for a drink and had to go in and get it myself after ordering. Other than that (an easily fixable problem) the place is great.

Though the restaurant features standard meat and potatoes fare, Livingstone's bar has become a mainstay of the Tower District.. The Scene:
The Livingstone's denizens are a lively group: 30-somethings celebrating their first house purchase, sorority girls meeting their musician boyfriends before a gig, and singles riding Livingstone's vibrant pick-up vibe (take a seat at the bar to make a new friend.) The male/female ratio is a dead heat, so competition can't be blamed for a bad night. The music is low to encourage talking, and the bar is large enough to accommodate a late dinner with appetizers like vegetarian pizza or the ubiquitous hot wings. Although the restaurant stays open to the wee hours, it's too far from the bar to matter. Don't go alone unless you feel like striking up a conversation.

Must Have Drinks:
Cosmopolitan, negroni.
