If you think that movies need special effects to captivate your pathetically minute brain, then you need to only watch Wall-E and other Disney, Pixar, etc... type movies and save the big boy films for people who are developed past the 3rd grade. REALLY. I know this amazing movie is so far above your head that there should be a height (or IQ) requirement to see it. Yes; those who had trivial, shallow, and just plain stupid reviews about this amazing movie would not have passed the bare minimum requirement. You shouldn't be allowed to see this movie as your comments show how totally ignorant you are. You are barely a waste of words to laugh at for a minute or two; and worth no more than the end of this sentence. This movie was GREAT; we own hundreds and hundreds of movies and this one is easily top 5. This one was "The Usual Suspects" plus "Pulp fiction" plus a little bit of "Seven" and "Saw" included. A psychological mind-screw that just happens to have great Batman characters thrown in!! By far the best Batman film, as it heartily exceeds Batman Begins; which was the best Batman film. The previous ones, other than half of the first and second ones, are more goofy now in comparison than they were even then. ...basically the difference between "Batman: Year One" (if you know what this is you are cool) and the Halle's "Catwoman" film. Did anyone actually pay money to see that in the theater???? LOL Amazing performances by all; especially by the LEGEND that is Heath Ledger (RIP). He not only destroyed Jack's Joker, he put himself up there with Hannibal, Vader, Bill the Butcher, etc... as one of the greatest villains of all time. What makes it so special is the fact that he could be just some lunatic that lives in your neighborhood; that just so happened to have his appearance decimated and lost his sanity. ...a freak; just like me... if not for any other reason go see it, more than once, go to dethrone that stupid Titanic movie.
Pros: the flow of this intense flick, the excellent acting by all of these great artists, Nolan's vision, etc...
Cons: absolutely none; regardless of what haters whine about like babies.

If you think that this movie was too long, then your brain is well too short. If you think Batman sounds funny, then you should evaluate how goofy you sound then try to disguise your voice, then get into a drag out fight with numerous people, then get beat up on with a pipe by a crazy guy; after all of that, or before, see how ridiculous you sound and then talk about this great work of art. Seriously; if the movie was too long, then you shouldn't be allowed to see the late great Heath Ledger in his final masterpiece. For that matter, you shouldn't ever be allowed to see ANY of his work, ANY of the late great Brandon Lee, any of the GREAT James Dean movies; nor any of the fantastic works that many young people left us way too early. If the fact that DANIEL DAY-LEWIS honored Heath Ledger by dedicating his latest award for "There Will Be..." isn't enough to tell you how AMAZING this person was and how truly EXTRAORDINARY his role was in GARY OLDMAN giving it raves beyond comparison (as one of THE GREATEST villain character actors in the history of film... THE MAN WAS DRACULA AND SID VICIOUS)... ...THEN YOU ARE WORTHLESS AND SHOULD NEVER EMBARRASS YOURSELF BY GOING OUT INTO PUBLIC OR GIVING YOUR SO-CALLED OPINION ONLINE. I have seen thousands of movies and this was better than all of them; bar none. This marvelous film would have, and did, propel Ledger into one of the greatest actors in the history of film; too bad, like Brandon Lee, the performance of a lifetime was at the end of their lifetime. I have nothing but thanks for Ledger in his performance as well as the genius that is Nolan; not to mention Oldman, Freeman, Caine, Eckhart (who almost stole the show), Bale, and Gyllenhaal for their great additions. This movie even blew away Iron Man as the best superhero movie ever made, although Batman is the ultimate VIGILANTE, and how they handled everything was perfect. ...at least perfect compared to what you detractors could do.
Pros: as GREAT of a ride, in all sense of the term, as you can get in a movie
Cons: all the morons whining about it being too long for their little brains to handle

What are people thinking? I thought this movie was waaaay too drawn out. There wasnt enough action in it to be this long. Alot of the time was just blah, blah, blah talkin. Maybe people think that because Heath died they need to make this movie and his performance seem more creative than it acually is. Dont get me wrong, he did a "good" job but for people to say it was his best work and he was soooooo dark and scary in it - is ridiculous! For all the ranting and raveing that has been buzzing around this movie, I was extremely dissapointed to say the least. And to the people who go as far as to say "its the best Batman ever"~ have trulry lost their minds. Bale had a frog in his throat, the damzel in distress was far from pretty and acually extremely un-appealing to the eye, Heath was O.K. and they appeared to have spent nil on graphics and special effects. Save your money and see it on DVD, this movie is not theater quality. 2 thumbs down :(

i love this movie the best possible batman movie ever! i was devastated when Heath Ledger died. Heath Ledger you will always be remembered as the incredably entertaining joker in my heart.
Pros: the casting was perfect
Cons: it was sort of sad

This is a typical US movie. It is more than a typical US movie in that it is not that shallow and tell us something more close the reality. The joker was the best actor. The cut is not so good - one need to take some effort to connect the scenes and make it s whole story. Comparing with other typical US movies (e.g., transforms), it deserves one more star, however, I could not imagine why it is in the historical top 5 in imdb.

I really liked the action in the movie but I have one big compaint. What is with the voice of Batman? Does he really need to talk like Clint Eastwood. I found it too distracting.

This movie was actually awesome. Sometimes movies with a predictable heroe and a predictable villain are boring. But this movie was different in that it shows the vast resources Batman needs to rely on to fight crime. In that, the police and public figures are pulled into his psychotic quest to avenge crime. Also, showing that people will compromise to new lows and the unorthodox to achieve their own goals. Hedge Ledger did an awesome job as the Joker. When I left the movie theatre I was left with the impression that the Joker was an actual lunatic somewhere. His role was very convincing. The movie was a bit too long, but still it is worth the money.
Pros: All the acting in this movie was excellent and Heath Ledger did a awesome performance.
Cons: The only thing was that it was just a little too long.

Dragged in a lot of places followed by good action scenes. Hated the way Batman talked low and raspy to hide his Bruce Wayne voice. Sounded dorky. It was a pretty decent movie in the end though.
Pros: Action Scenes
Cons: Dragged on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on
