They have a very large catering menu and all the prices are not that bad at all. They make the best meatballs that I have ever had. Their store is very cute too and has a lot of different stuff that you can't usually find in regular grocery stores. They also have gift baskets and I'm pretty sure you can create your own while you are there too. Would for sure use again if I needed to have something catered.

Has a wide array of various Italian items, from Tiramisu, to gelato, to pastas, even fantastic sub sandwiches! Delicious food, and fantastic service!

You can find so many things here that you would not find anywhere else! The service is good but one employee in particular crossed the line with a joke he made at one of my family members. He was handled with by the manager but other than that incident, I'd say Sam's is a great place for deli items and a delicious sandwich!

I must agree with the previous review. They really do make the best sandwich in town. Their deli is second to none and selection of authentic Italian delicacy's makes them a local favorite. The olives alone are world class

If you have not been here you have not had the best sandwich in town! VERY busy for lunch. Call your order in or go before 11:30 or after 1:00. The best staff too. It's fun to watch them work together in making that sandwiches. This place is also a small grocery store with a great selection of Italian items. Large wine selection for such a small place. They also cater.

I first had Sam's about three years ago when our friends had a party catered with their food. I loved it. The Foccacia sandwich is unbelievable. So a few days later I went to Sam's to get that same Foccacia sandwich, and I was so impressed with the store and the staff. Not only did the guys behind the counter know exactly what I wanted even before I was finished saying Foccacia, but they also knew my friends who had the party , Joe and Karen, and then about four or five different employees came over to make sure I said hi to Joe and Karen. I just fell in love with their food and their employees. since that day i have returned to Sam's two to three times a week, Im on a first name basis with everyone there, and I dont even have to tell them what I want, they always know.

I traveled out of my way to visit Sam's. They have some interesting items for sale, buy the deli sandwich I ordered was terrible. The bread was lousy, and there was so little meat in the sandwich, that all I could taste was the mustard and wax peppers. There was less than 1/8 of a pound of meat in the larger sandwich that I bought.
I grew up in San Francisco and have eaten in Italian, Jewish, and Russian Deli's. Sam's doesn't come close to any of them!!!!
- Pros: Nice store
- Cons: lousy sandwiches

it doesn't get better than Sam's: The food is great - Sandwiches, Italian to go, salads etc. I love their deli meats and cheeses: it's the only place to go for everything genuine and Italian and the service is incredible. Sam's will go out of their way to please you without charging you up the nose for it. Moreover, they are always friendly (I've even gotten advice for making a better tiramisu there)
Fresno's quintessential Italian deli.

Every town has to have a good Italian deli to even be considered worthy of living in. Without polenta, porcini mushrooms, teleme cheese, dry coppa and tuscano salami life is just not worth living. Fortunately Sam's has all of the above and more. Everything from black winter truffles (jarred of course) to amaretti di saronno to Chicago-style giardinera to the obligatory san marzano tomatoes, pasta and prosciutto. High-quality Italian meats from independant manufacterers (none of that Columbus and Hormel stuff thank you very much) are the centerpiece, but all four corners are stuffed with great food and kitchen utensils.
Make sure to grab a few pieces of torrone at the check out counter.
- Pros: Great selection, High quality, Friendly service
- Cons: No seating
