I had a terrible color and cut experience at Aveda in Fresno and even though I went back to have the color fixed, they couldn't tone down the brassiness. I didn't even ask them to fix the cut because I was afraid of what they might do based on the poor quality of the original cut. There wasn't even a scalp rub or hand massage to distract me. Worse yet, I wrote the owner a detailed letter regarding my experience and what it had cost me have my hair done poorly by Aveda and then again correctly at another salon. She didn't even have the courtesy to respond: no "I'm sorry," "please give us another try" or even a refund. She obviously doesn't care what people think of her salon or Aveda.

Pros: It was in a convenient shopping center

Cons: lack of skill by the salon personnel

No fake smiles here. Very friendly, caring place throughout. Beautiful spa and salon. I love Aveda. I have my Hair done by Dana and Monica and everywhere I go people stop me and say "great hair" Makes me feel so good. I also get facials and waxing. All the technicians are great. I have not had a bad service yet. Oh, and I great fabulous pedicures in a private room all to myself. Love it....If you have a gift to give someone, you cannot go wrong giving a gift certificate. That is how I started going there. Someone gave me a 100.00 Gift Certificate. What a great gift it was....

Cons: Going there is the best part of my month

great to have an aveda salon in fresno. always have good merchandise in stock. very friendly staff. always helpful

I'm new to the area and was looking for a local hairstylist. I read these reviews and like Aveda products, so I picked this place for a cut and color. The color was fine, but how can you mess up an all over tint? The cut however, I absolutely hate. The layers are too obviously in rows across the back of my hair and the "long bangs" are a mess. I could've gotten this haircut at a mall. I can't wait until it grows out so I can return to Chicago to my old stylist to fix it!! The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the color was fine, so I would recommend it as long as you don't want any complicated color and don't have high standards for a haircut. I didn't schedule any spa services so can't comment on that, but I would go back and try them.

Pros: atmosphere, nice staff, Aveda products

Amenities is truly a diamond in the rough! I have visited many Salons and Spas over the years, but have never been treated as wonderfully as I am always treated at Amenities! From the moment I walk through the door, I am greeted by name by the ladies behind the desk. How wonderful to feel so welcome as i arrive. And my stylist is truly a treasure, Denise always seems so happy to see me and makes me feel like I am her one and only client in the world. It is hard to find a stylist that can tame my hair, but let me say, my hair has never looked better. It is especially nice to find a stylist that works around MY schedule, instead of having to work around the stylists. It is so nice to finally find a Spa that gives me everything that I have had to travel out of town for in the past. No more drives for me because Amenities, i'm here to stay!

This spa has a unique touch to say. Its very warm, always treated like your noticed. I have been to several spas that dont make you feel relaxed and welcomed. You enter and you feel like your in paradise. My toes always look wonderful, and they feel soft afterwards, no fungus at this spa, Stephanie is a wonder, very gentle and caring. I also get my brows waxed by Vanessa dont let her fool you she is quick but does an amazing job, very confident and precise, your in and out. You always get extra treament on the hands after the wax. Great spa! Thankyou to Stephanie and Vanessa.

I use to go all over town for pedicures, hair, etc. I found it here - all of it. Aveda products speak for themself...... amazing product. But this place is an experience I have can say is so consitant and perfect every time. I have my hair done by Rochelle. This girl can color and cut like no one I have ever gone to. She is a sweet soul too. Then there is Christy for you toes. I get my toes done often. NO MORE cheap shops, that throw you on a thrown, use rubber gloves and send you away with a fungus........... this place is the same price when you calc by the hour and the products are real and my feet look amazing afterwards. Christy does the best massage on your feet. Then we have Debra for facial. I don't like facials, but she converted me. She cares about your well being. And the top too is Roxan, Cameron, Alecia and the rest of the ladies in the front. Top of the line. Every one seems so happy there. Love this place.

I have been to Amenities several times. Love the remodel - very spa atmosphere. I have my hair done by Jamie-Lynn- cut, color and highlight. She is awesome. I love how my hair always turns out. I have had massages by both Doreen and Cheryl. Both are excellent with very different message styles. I have also had pedicures by Lindsey. Very soothing. She does a wonderful job as well. I also use their Aveda products - make-up, face and hair products. I love them all.

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! I was recommended to go to Joylene from my daughter. She was excellent. Joylene is so talented ... I've always had a hard time finding a stylist that I liked and I have finally found her.. My hair looked & felt wonderful. I also bought some Aveda product that she used at the time of service and have noticed a big difference in the texture and overall feeling of my hair. She was not too pushy and geniunley believed in the product. The ambiance of the spa was so inviting and so theraputic, you feel the serene atmosphere from the moment the doors open.The service at the front desk was helpful and very welcoming. My overall experience at Amenities Day Spa & Salon was overall 100% satisfaction, I would recommend the spa and Joylene highly to all........

I was quite surprised by Amenities in Fig Garden. They've recently expanded and have a great facility. The ambience is soothing and the staff is extremely nice. I went there to have my hair re-cut after a bad experience at Hungry Hair in Fig Garden. I have been looking for a stylist this good for over 10 years. I no longer have to fly back to WA to get my haircut! Lu is amazing! I was also given a scalp massage while I waited and a hand scrub before I left. I recommend Amenities and will continue to be a loyal customer.

Pros: Got an appointment right away, friendly not pushy service, great products
